Born January 2nd 1983, Andre Dew aka Mc Dre is without a doubt becoming a Key Player within the West Coast Drum n Bass community!!!! After 5 years of “Puttin in Work” in Southern California & also performing here and there across the country in such places as Konkrete Jungle & Direct Drive in NYC, and a slue of parties in Miami During the 04 wmc, DRE is calibrated and set to take the NATION and WORLD by storm!!!!
REWIND!!!!!Year,1999….Before discovering drum n bass, Andre aka Dre had been known by his peers to be able to ” SPIT A FLOW”!!!! He attended his 1st “RAVE PARTY” with a group of friends, not knowing what would come of the night!!!! Never before experiencing the power of a MASSIVE party vibe, Dre was instantly attracted to the Electronic Music Culture…..
Year 2000, After attending a Drum and Bass event , and witnessing the power and energy of the m.c. on stage, Dre took it to the next step. He then submerged himself into that world, and soon began performing at local house parties and weekly clubs. Within 2 short years Dre had taken L.A. by storm, and had shared the stage with U.S’s and U.K’s top m.c’s and dj’s. Performing at massive events like Audiotistic(attendance 40,000 ), Hip-Hip Hoorave(attendance 10,000 ), Reset(attendance 7,000 ), and Together as one 4 years in a row(attendance over 30,000 each year). He also held a wide varay of residencies in the Los Angeles/ Southern California area and has been affiliated with many crews along the way….
Year, PRESENT… With Triumph comes Tragedy…. Afters years of hard work and paying his dues, Andre Aka Mc Dre finally got “THE CALL” to drop vocals on the title track for Barcode Recordings’(in association with Renegade Hardware) Debut L.P ” US AGAINST THE WORLD” produced by Demo from Seattle and close friend Infiltrata from Los Angeles…… The tune and album both where a where a sucess!!! And for Dre, a career goal had been attained, But as stated before, with triamuph comes tragedy… A few short hours after completing vocals for Us Against The World, Dre’s father lost his battle to cancer and passed away in a local hospital!!!! Now working harder than ever, Recording Drum n Bass tracks and also working on a Hip Hop album that he calls his “2nd Child”, MC DRE is full of fire and ready to blaze any mic he touches!!!!! After soooo much growth personally and in his career, Andre Dew aka Mc Dre is ready to live up to what his father told him to be…. KING OF HIS DESTINY!!!!!!
